“Mika” women’s team celebrated its first victory

In the Ohrid city of Macedonia where the chess “Eurocup-2009” is taking place the men’s team of “Mika”, unfortunately, failed, yielding one of the leading teams, “Economist” of Saratov with a score of 2,5:3.5. Levon Aronyan did his best to help his team. The leader of “Mika” took victory over Alekseev on the first chessboard. Unfortunately the other members of the Armenian team didn’t show all their abilities.

Vladimir Hakobyan and Zaven Andriasyan respectively yielded Eljanov and Ni Hua . Sarkisian-Tomaszewski, Pashikyan Bu-Petrosyan and Moiseenko ended in a draw. After the reporting round the tournament list headed "Saratov" and "Alkaloid" who won all five rounds. In the third place is “"Ural” who has got 9 points. “Mika” shares the 4-9 places with other participants. In the next round the rival of “Mika” will be “Ural”.

Finally, the first victory took the women's team of “Mika” defeating "BAS-Beograd" with a score 3,5 : 0,5. A draw was recorded in Stojanovic-Khurtsidze round. Elina Danielian took a victory over Gaponenko, Dronovali - Vasilevich, Lilith Galoyan – Drlevich. After this victory, "Mika" increased their number of points to 5 and now is among the teams sharing the 5-9 places. The leaders of the women's tournament are “Spartak” and the Georgian "Samaya" clubs, which earn 8 points each. "Podgorica" has 7 points to its credit, “Monte Carlo” 6 points. In the 6th round “Mika” will meet with “Monte Carlo”.
