SCR Company announces reaching a new level
Supporting developing services around technical base, and in particular travel lines, in SCR will reach a new level by 2015, announced Company’s press-office.
According to SCR’s chief engineer Sergey Harutyunyan, the developing activities will be aimed at complete increasing of railway’s safety as overweight and over-speed trains will run.
Productivity growth by 2015 is planning through mechanization of track working and minimization of manual labor.
“We are planning to strengthen and optimize infrastructure management services. It’s decided to convert Sanain locomotive depot into repair center to provide construction zone and maintenance of rolling stock and small-mechanized tracks,” said Mr. Harutyunyan.
As chief engineer told, it’s scheduled to restore long-stopped transit Dilijan-Ijevan (of 54 km), as well as Gyumri-Ahuryan (of 13 km). 420 million RUB is planning to inject for these programs’ realization.
