Match Armenia v. Turkey is historical

Armenian national football team is traveling to Bursa to meet in World Cup qualifying with Turkish side on Wednesday, October 14.

Turkish media outlets call this meeting historical, in particular, Cumhuriyet newspaper comments that this development is very important for future.

The national teams of the two countries yet met once – last year on September 6, in Armenia under match ended 2:0 victory over Armenian team. So the first meeting in Turkey is expected tomorrow.

Additionally, this is the seventh match on Bursa’s stadium for Turkish team which won twice, lost twice and played in draw twice. In other words, upcoming game will break this balance under any scenario.

We, nevertheless, hope that Armenia’s national football team will managed to win, given that the Turkish team has failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup while its head coach is going through a psychological crisis. Lack of motivation and psychological problems will certainly influence tomorrow’s match.

It’s very desirable that our footballers to advantage of the situation, which prevail on Turkey’s court.
