Armenia and Ukraine sign 70 bilateral agreements and 2 more
“I am pleased that after long-term pause since 2004 we finally met. I believe that such cooperation will allow finding accumulated items’ decisions of bilateral ties both in business and friendly atmosphere,” said at opening ceremony of the forth Armenia-Ukraine Intergovernmental hearing Commission Co-chairman and Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan.
Minister marked the development reached during Intergovernmental hearing working-session, especially those in creating of favorable platform for signing agreements which already increased to over 70 pieces.
Mr. Yeritsyan also said that 70 signed agreements will be completed by two more ones – those on cooperation in sport and youth affairs as well as in field of customs statistics. He pointed Armenian Development Agency’s proposal to establish in Ukraine a standing pavilion filled with Armenian-made goods and said that such a responsive proposal can also be made by Ukrainian organizations.
Minister expressed confidence that the fourth Armenia-Ukraine Intergovernmental hearing will significantly expand Armenia-Ukraine ties in business, culture, science, etc.
Note that since 1991 total Ukrainian investments in Armenia increased to about $4.5 million including $3.8 million direct injections and according to 2009’s January 1 Armenia has 65 registered enterprises with Ukrainian resources in capital.
