Zaven Andriasyan wins the tournament in St. Petersburg
Chess tournament held St. Petersburg in memory of Chigorin is over. Armenia’s Zaven Andriasyan earned 9.5 points over 11 rounds and became the winner.
Armenia was also represented at tournament by Grant Melkonyan (seeded fourteenth with 7.5 points), Levon Babudzhyan and Hrayr Simonyan (both earned 6.5 points); Robert Hovhannisyan earned 6 points, both Vartan Khojoyan and Vardges Tovmasyan earned 5,5; Suren Poghosyan and Sargis Manukyan earned 4.5 points each.
