The decision of Arshaluys Hakobyan’s liberation is welcomed
The public relations department of the Civil Society Institute informs that the World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) and the International Federation for Human Rights FIDH, together with the Civil Society Institute, the Helsinki Citizens Assembly of Vanadzor, the Helsinki committee in Armenia, Cooperation for Democracy center, the anti corruption center Transparency International welcome the decision of setting free Arshaluys Hakobyan.
The above mentioned organizations welcome the liberation of Arshaluys Hakobyan and express their gratitude to all the people, the institutes and the organizations who have appeared for the defense of Hakobyan.
These organizations condemn the fact that the accusation of Mr. Hakobyan is not abolished yet and they call for the Armenian authorities “to stop all kinds of encroachments according the UNO declaration on the human rights advocates as well as according the documents ratified by Armenia on the human rights and the regional and international documents.”
