Yerevan holds economic forum Armenia-Diaspora
The Third Economic Forum Armenia-Diaspora is held today in Yerevan within the Panarmenian Expo-2009.
“Different nations hold different programs to overcome the global crisis; however, it can’t be prevented in a separate state. The entire world must rally. And this exhibition and the forum are just one step taken in the process of overcoming the crisis,” said in welcoming remarks of head of Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Martin Sarkisyan. Head of the Department of Export Promotion of the Armenian Development Agency, S. Amatuni presented the economic and investment situation in Armenia.
The Economic Forum involves representatives of 15 countries including Russia, Thailand, Canada, India, Iran and some European nations. After the Forum participants will focus specific programs and discuss them in detail.
The Economic Forum Armenia-Diaspora was founded in 1999 and is one connective economic corridors.
