Average salary of medical staff to remain unchanged
Armenia’s 2010 state budget will direct 55 billion dram toward national health care spending, announced at press-conference Armenia’s Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan.
Minister also pointed that 2009 budget focused on primary care while 30% (or 21 billion dram goes to ambulant clinics ad outpatient hospitals. “Actually, cost for per patient goes to 17.100 dram. Great attention will be paid to health care in Armenian regions and villages,” minister said.
Referring to salary, Minister said average level will remain unchanged. Doctors will be paid 77.000 dram, and there is an average salary gap of 27.700 dram between doctors and middle-class staff.
For about 220.000 people will be provided by free medicines involving about 350 drugs line as state budget directed that cost. “For about 150.000 patients of a special group will be provided by drags, in particularly, diabetics, cancer patients, and patients with mental disorder. Budget directs 4 billion dram toward this spending, and this index is 600 million dram more than 2009 budget actually provides.”
