Armenia to deepen FMCG market monitoring
Armenia’s State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) will deepen FMCG market monitoring in connection with increase in prices on some goods, such as gasoline, diesel fuel, vegetable oil, sugar, etc.
According to SCPEC’s head, David Harutyunyan, the results of monitoring show that prices on above mentioned goods increased over past several months. However, 10 last days brought stability and somewhere reduction. David Harutyunyan also pointed that increase in prices had been conditioned by the same processes in world markets.
”We are deepening FMCG market monitoring and laying companies under obligation to inform people about the causes that led to increase in prices. In cases of causeless increase the Commission will take appropriate measures,” said David Harutyunyan.
