Half of Armenian export goes to EU states
Armenia’s President Serge Sargsyan welcomed the participants of the joint Armenian-Latvian Forum and said that countries have a great wish to cooperate both in political and economical spheres.
“Despite the commodity circulation decreased because the financial crisis, I believe we can enlarge turnover’s growth,” said President Sargsyan. He added that the half of Armenian export goes to EU states.
“Travel connection and ties between the two countries were traditional at the soviet times, and I believe this tradition is to be redeveloped. We’ve signed an agreement on air connection to redevelop travel ties,” said President.
Armenian President also said of the importance of the cooperation in investment. “We do not limit foreign investors. Neither foreign investor left Armenia. We are a liable partner,” said Serge Sargsyan.
Latvian President Valdis Zatlers and his wife Lilita Zatlers are in Armenia on a three-day visit. The countries signed range of agreements on cooperation and opened a joint business forum.
