SCR: Cargo transportations for 2009 increase by 3,2%

The Press Center for the South Caucasus Railway company has released a report on cargo transportations for 2009. According to the report, the total amount of cargo transportations has made 345 495 tons of importing, and 345 495 tons of exporting. Three key products mainly made the basal importing: cereals - 467 484 tons of importing, oil - 363 035 tons of importing, and container transportations made 137 733 tons.

Report on cargo transportations in the export for 2009 showed that there had been exported 117 319 tons of cement, container transportations made 82 062 tons, and mineral raw materials made 79 323 tons.

Local traffic noticeably grew amounting 1 066 317 tons, of these the basic products were: nonferrous metal/sulfur raw - 466 430 tons, natural mineral building materials - 200 710 tons, industrial mineral raw materials - 156 837 tons, and nonferrous metals - 84 835 tons.

According to report, cargo transportations for 2009 increase by 3,2% in comparison with last year. Company’s turnover for 2009 has been totally completed.
