Armenia, Georgia sign agreement in sphere of energy
Armenia and Georgia, in a result of the eighth session of the Armenia-Georgia Inter-Governmental Commission on Economical Cooperation, have signed an agreement on building of new high-voltage power transmission lines.
“This is the key activity in the 2010 Plan. We will provide the project with funding. I believe, the construction works will start this year,” said Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian.
Georgia’s Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, who headed delegation to Armenia, said in his turn: “Armenia-Georgia cooperation in the field of energy is at the good level. The project is beneficial both for Armenia and Georgia.”
