White House approves economic aid for Georgia
The United States have announced that it will provide Georgia with economic aid. Economic aid’s amount hasn’t been promulgated yet; however, it is expected to get more details in a few days – after Deputy Secretary of State James B. Steinberg’s visit to Georgia.
A spokesperson for Georgia’s President, Manana Manjgaladze said President Mikhail Saakashvili had received an invitation from U.S. President Barack Obama to visit Washington.
It’s worth mentioning, that the United States provided Georgia with $250 million in October 2008 in the framework of the $1 billion humanitarian and economic assistance to Georgia.
