Leaders of 27 EU nations to discuss social, financial issues
The EU summit will bring together leaders of the 27 EU nations in Brussels on Thursday.
The 27 leaders are gathering to focus on social and financial issues to overcome the global crisis. The EU meeting is called by Herman Van Rompuy, the bloc’s first full-time president, who announced that the meeting will be held in the “Solway” City Library.
The leaders are expected to design proposals on possible actions and steps to ease the debt crisis that several countries are facing. Besides, among other highlights of the meeting’s agenda are issues of quake-hit Haiti, climate change, and economic problems in Greece.
