Kurdish newspaper editor sentenced to 21 years in Turkey
A Kurdish newspaper editor has been sentenced by Turkey’s Court to 21 years in prison on charges of spreading rebel propaganda.
The Anatolia news agency says Ozan Kilinc was convicted for publishing headlines, articles, or photographs deemed to be Kurdish rebel propaganda in 12 separate issues of the Kurdish-language Azadiya Welat newspaper. It’s worth mentioning, that several Kurdish activists and editors have received prison terms for acts considered to be propaganda on behalf of the Kurdistan Workers' Party.
