SCR fleet replenished by new electric train
In 2009 in the framework of the fleet’s replenishment program, the South Caucasus Railways bought a new electric train consisting of 12 wagons. According to company’s press office, the new train which provides 110 seats, will be put into operation in the near future. It’s worth mentioning, that in 2008 the SCR bought 48 wagons, which have been operating since 2009.
A spokesperson to the South Caucasus Railways said that company’s key objective and priority for 2009-2010 is fleet’s replenishment program. Standing from this plan, the company directed 11,8% of investments to fleet’s replenishment in 2009. It’s reported the company to increase its investments by 20,8%.
