Three Cars with Six Persons on Board Cross Upper Lars Checkpoint
Three cars with six persons on board crossed the Upper Lars checkpoint on its very first day of working at Georgia-Russia border, said Russia’s Federal Security Service officials for the Northern Ossetia.
The Upper Lars Checkpoint, closed for reconstruction about 4 years ago, is reported re-opened on March 1 at 6 a.m. The checkpoint is equipped with all control services in accordance with the state border crossing rules, and is available for crossing for cars only.
There is no any easy regime provided for footers and those who live in the adjoining to the border Russian and Georgian territories.
