Ban Ki-Moon: Iran’s issue needs a peaceful solution
The UN Security Council members are having consultations on the future sanctions against Iran, told Ban Ki-Moon, the United Nations Secretary-General, in the interview with RIA Novosti before visiting Moscow on March 17 – 19.
“The Security Council has already taken three sanction measures resolutions. I understand that the members are discussing and consulting on the issue of taking further sanction measures. This is something that to be determined by the Security Council members”, - Ban Ki-Moon said.
In the same time he has mentioned that Iran’s issue should be solved in a peaceful way, and Tehran should fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“As a matter of principle, this matter should be resolved peacefully through dialogue, through negotiations”, - the UN Secretary-General mentioned.
