Armenia’s companies to participate in World Congress on IT 2010
Armenian IT-companies will participate in the 17th World Congress on Information Technology, which is reported to be held in Amsterdam on May 25-27.
Member of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) Vahan Hovsepian told Aysor’s correspondent that due to the fact that UITE is a member of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), which is organizing WCIT-2010, Armenian companies had got special offers, in particular, 80% discount.
According to Vahan Hovsepian, Armenian delegation includes Executive Director of UITE Karen Vardanian, Director of Nork Information and Analytics Center Hike Zoghrabian, and Director of Enterprise Incubator Foundation Bagrat Engibarian. “CHS real service” and “Essential solution” companies also have sent their applications for participation.
“The greatest IT-companies are gathering at World Congress on IT in Amsterdam, so we hope to join the most progressive trends,” said Vahan Hovsepian.
“The World Congress on IT includes spheres of great interest of Armenia, for example, the e-management. In the near three years there are some large projects to be implemented in this sphere in Armenia,” he added.
The World Congress on Information Technology is the biannual event where leading corporate managers and authorities meet to discuss the opportunities and applications of ICT. The theme of the 2010 convention will be Challenges of Change. Sub themes will be ICT solutions for education, health care, transport and mobility and sustainability.
