Yanukovych appoints new governors
Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovych signed on March 18 a decree on appointment of governors of country’s regions, some media reported citing statements, released by Presidential Press Office.
As it was expected, Anatoly Prysyajnyuk, ex-deputy of the Security Service of Ukraine, was appointed as governor of Kiev. Anatoliy Bliznyuk is appointed as governor of Donetsky region; among other appointed governors are Mikhail Dobkin (governor of Kharkovsky region), and ex-chairman of the Supreme Council of Crimea Anatoly Gritsenko (heads Khersonsky region).
