Food Security is a bold agenda for Armenia, says Minasian
Issues of the Food Security are the bold agenda for Armenia’s government, said at the press conference Chief of the Standing Parliamentary Commission for Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Gagik Minasian.
Gagik Minasian told journalists that government pays a great attention to the issues of establishment of the state reserve, types of goods, preservation and renewal of goods, local agricultural goods, etc. He said of the importance of the different approaches to stimulate agricultural production.
According to Gagik Minasian, government is implementing a program, which includes a 30,000 AMD/per hectare award to a farmer, who cultivates those territories, which have not been cultivated before.
“Along with growth of economy, we should find new ways to stimulate development of the agricultural sector to provide food security for account of the local production,” said Gagik Minasian.
