Mourning day in Moscow
Moscow is holding a day of mourning for the victims of yesterday's terror attacks on the city's metro system. The state flags are down, the main television channels have changed their schedules, dropping advertising and entertainment programs, no play list can be found in the theatres. The churches will serve a requiem Mass.
Since yesterday Russians were lighting candles and laying flowers in memory of the victims of a blast inside the Lubyanka metro station, where 23 people died, and the Park Kultury station, where a second explosion left 12 people dead.
For the explosions that took place yesterday and took the lives of more than thirty people the officials blame Muslim groups from the northern Caucasus, where rebels have been waging violent campaigns for independence. It is also known that the terrorist acts have been realized by female-bombers.
