France 24 news channel accuses Iran on blocking its website
News channel France 24 accused Iran on Friday of blocking its website to users there, the latest in a series of international broadcasters to complain of censorship by Iranian authorities.
"France 24 learned today from various sources that its website france24.com was no longer accessible from Iranian territory," said in agency’s statement, where the move is described as "censorship".
It’s worth mentioning that Iranian authorities have banned reportages by foreign media on demonstrations and rallies in Iran, and have arrested many journalists since anti-government protests erupted after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's disputed re-election last June.
