Georgia’s MFA considers Patrushev’s statements to be ‘inadequate’
Georgia’s Foreign Ministry said considers statements by Secretary of Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev to be inadequate. In particularly, Nikolai Patrushev in relation to the March 29 attacks in Moscow subway said that ‘the investigation may find out the Georgian trail.”
Russia media citing Georgia-News agency quoted Deputy Minister of Georgia David Jalagania as saying: “Patrushev as well as other officials of the Russian secret services have repeatedly made statements, linking Georgia with various terrorist organisations, including Al-Qaeda.”
“The international community used to treating with irony these statements, and never considered them to be serious, as Georgia is an active participant on anti-terrorist coalitions, and makes its efforts to fight against terrorism both in region and beyond it,” David Jalagania said adding that hopes the international community will respond to these provocative statements by Patrushev.
