Increase in gas prices may be discussed at Parliament

Due to increase in the price of gas ARF Dashnaktsutyun has prepared a request, which will be sent to country’s government, announced at the press conference the party’s member Artsvik Minasian. He said that after receiving the government’s response, the issue will become a question from opposition to be discussed at the expanded parliament’s session.

Artsvik Minasian said that there will be initiated hearings with participation of many interested parties. However, the only problem is that the parliamentary majority has full powers to approve the hearings, pointed politician.

“This is another reason to study and eliminate the real causes if there is a willingness of the political majority. This would bring serious changes in the law-making system, starting from monopolized gas policy, and finishing by changes in the system of consumer protection, which will become more stable,” he pointed.
