Two blasts in Ingushetia’s Karabulak: two killed, one injured
Two policemen were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a police station in Ingushetia, Russia's volatile North Caucasus region.
The bombing in Ingushetia’s Karabulak, about 20 km from the regional capital Magas, followed the suicide attacks in Moscow, Russia’s capital, and Kizlyar of Dagestan of Russian Federation over the past week, resulting in 50 deaths.
"According to preliminary information a suicide bomber set off an explosion outside the town's police station," officials said. "Two policemen were killed and one policeman was injured and is now being treated in the hospital.”
A second explosion went off in a car near the Karabulak police station at 9.10 a.m. but nobody was hurt, Russian media reported, citing an unnamed police source.
