Two Azerbaijani boxers excluded from the team
Two Azerbaijani boxers, Elchin Alizade, the silver world champion of 2005, and the bronze world champion of 2007 Samir Mamedov have been excluded from the national team.
The Azerbaijani media informed that the two have awfully irritated the Cuban trainers Hesus Yu Polier and Lazarus Himenes Martines. Mamedov, who has participated in the summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008, returned to the hotel at night intoxicated. As for Alizade he has always missed the trainings and has not done the tasks of the trainers. The problem has been presented to the heads of the Azerbaijani Federation according to the report of the trainers the first vice president of the federation has made a decision to exclude them from the national team.
The Azerbaijani team is getting prepared for the world youth boxing championship on April 20, in Baku. Also the Armenian team will participate on that championship. Our team has left for Tbilisi today, later it will leave for Baku.
