Roza Otunbayeva announces elections in six months time
One of the leaders of Kyrgyzstan’s opposition, appointed as the head of new provisional people's government of Kyrgyzstan, ex-foreign minister Roza Otunbayeva said that elections in the country would be held in six months time.
"We have a caretaker government now in place and I am the head of it; it will remain in place for half a year, during which we will draft the constitution and create conditions for free and fair presidential elections,” she said.
