Kyrgyzstan riots: opposition blames authorities for deaths
New provisional people's government of Kyrgyzstan, set up with ex-foreign minister Roza Otunbayeva as its head after deadly clashes, which resulted in 65 deaths, declared that the body, consisting of the newly appointed responsible people, is working to normalise the situation in the country.
"Responsible people have been appointed and are already working to normalize the situation," Roza Otunbayeva told media.
"Power is now in the hands of the people's government," she said.
Roza Otunbayeva said that the April 7 clashes are a respond to all those repressions, tyranny, and aggression that were committed by the authorities against people. She said: “Whatever this was – a revolution, a rebellion – we say no to tyranny and want to build a democracy.”
