An Armenian businessman buys up all Turkmen products
Within the framework of Armenia-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Commission on Economical Cooperation, the trade exhibition opened Thursday in the House of Receptions of Government of Armenia with Armenian and Turkmen-made production on a display.
In his speech at the opening ceremony Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sarkisian said he hopes that the bilateral relations between the two countries will develop, contributing to strengthening of cooperation.
“It’s necessary to understand, what goods are in demand in two countries; good relations, established between the two nations, will become a good basis for economical achievements, especially, if consider the existing potential that hasn’t been used yet,” said Prime Minister Sarkisian.
His Turkmen counterpart Khydyr Saparliev said that county’s light industry has been developing since gaining the independence.
“Turkmen-made carpets are a subject of national pride; they mirror all the positive features of our nation,” said Khydyr Saparliev.
Nearly 20 companies from Turkmenistan, engaged in light industry, displayed their production, while Armenian companies presented various drinks, canned goods, building materials, etc.
It’s worth mentioning that someone of Armenian businessmen has already bought all the displayed Turkmen products, making it impossible for other visitor to buy something.
