Deposed in Kyrgyzstan president gathers supporters
Nearly two thousand people gathered Monday in a village of Yrys of Kyrgyzstan to hold a rally, offering their support to country’s deposed president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, 24.kg Agency reported.
“If I felt I am guilty then I wouldn’t have been standing here, I would have been away from the country,” said Kurmanbek Bakiyev. He added: “I call for everyone, who wants to support me, to gather together tomorrow on the Central Jalal-Abad Square.”
Meanwhile, the provisional people's government of Kyrgyzstan has dismissed Ambassadors to several countries, including Russia and the United States, and appointed new ministers, in particular, post of Minister of Energy was taken by Osmon Artykbaev, and post of Chief of the Customs Services – by Kuban Kulmatov.
