Georgian pilgrims apply for asylum in Israel
Georgian delegation, including 45 people, who arrived in Jerusalem for pilgrimage, has applied to the Immigration Service of Israel for political asylum.
Georgia’s consul to Israel Irakli Advadze told journalists that pilgrims had acted very orderly, applying for asylum with referring to the Israeli law, according which the application should be on a process in three months time after the clime is filed. Consul added that Georgian citizens will remain in Israel until their request is considered.
