Melkumian wins over Safarli in Round 9 of Open Champs in Dubai
In round nine of the 12th Open Chess Championship in Dubai, Armenia’s chess player Hrant Melkumian won over Azerbaijan’s Safarli; David Harutyunian won over Georgia’s Pantsulaia. Thus, the two players at 7 points seeded 6-7th.
Gabriel Sarkisian at 6,5 points seeded the 10th; Tigran Kotanjian at 5,5 points is the 30th. Tigran L. Petrosian earned 5,5 points and took the 41st position; and Gevorg Harutyunian with 5 points is the 50th.
