Azerbaijani Consul General to Istanbul recalled

By Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev’s decrees, Consul General to Istanbul Seyyad Aran, who also serves as a Permanent Representative to the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, was recalled, while ex Consul General to Kars, Hasan Zeynalov, was appointed to the job, Bizim Yol paper reported.

It’s worth mentioning that Seyyad Aran was involved in a scandal conflict with deputy lady Gyuliar Ahmedova, who complained to county’s foreign minister that Seyyad Aran hadn’t accompanied them during a travel to Turkey. Seyyad Aran, in his turn, accused Gyuliar Ahmedova of the wishes to use the official cars for personal purposes.

In addition, Seyyad Aran himself had no information about the recall: when asked by the paper to comment the situation, the diplomat said he was surprised. After all, he said thinks the dismissal has links with the end of the term.
