Airports across Europe again closed
Airlines in Europe have canceled or delayed hundreds of flights across Europe as a cloud of volcanic ash from Iceland drifted over the North Atlantic and parts of Europe.
It is expected that on Monday most European airports should be open; however trans-Atlantic travel could face disruptions, European air-traffic officials said in a conference call late Sunday.
Italian airports have reopened after temporary closing, but there are delays for UK-bound flights. Portugal, France and Austria grounded some flights. In Scotland, airports in Inverness, Kirkwall, Wick, Benbecula and Stornoway were shut for a time, but later reopened, BBC reported.
