105 killed in plane crash in Libya
A Libyan plane Airbus 330 arriving from South Africa crashed on Wednesday at Tripoli airport, Libya, killing all 105 people on board, local airport officials said.
Among the dead were 94 passengers and 11 crew members; the 94 passengers on board are believed to be of various nationalities, including British and South African; the 11 crew were all thought to be Libyan nationals.
At the moment there are no details why the plane crashed. The Afriqiyah Airways, a carrier of the deadly flight, is expected to issue a statement when more details can be released in due course.
