Vladimir Hakobian loses to Ukrainian player at FIDE Grand Prix
In round two of the sixth stage of the FIDE Grand Prix among men, taking place in Russia’s Astrakhan, Armenia’s Grand Master Vladimir Hakobian with black lost to Ukraine’s Pavel Elianov in the endgame. Eliano outsmarted his opponent and won the game on the 42nd move.
5 grandmasters resulted the two rounds in 1.5 points; no one showed a perfect score. The third round will be held on Wednesday; Vladimir Hakobian will play against Peter Svidler.
