Greece against Ottomans, say Greeks against Erdogan
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is traveling to Greece with a delegation of 10 ministers and about 100 businessmen. Meanwhile the Greek capital has prepared for a rally against Turkish Prime Minister, 1News.Az agency reported citing the Hurriyet paper. In particular, protesters are expected to gather in the capital on May 14 with banners reading “Greece against Ottomans.”
It’s reported that local authorities in Athens have ordered to remove the Turkish flags across the route of Erdogan; police took security measures. More than 300 Greek and foreign correspondents had accredited to cover Erdogan’s visit to Greece.
