Resolve issues peacefully through dialogue, says Ban Ki-moon
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has issued a call for calm and restraint, following the reports of violence and loss of life from Kyrgyzstan, where clashes have broken out between supporters and protesters of the new interim government, the UN Press Office said.
“The Secretary-General urges all concerned to show restraint and to resolve issues peacefully through dialogue. He underlines the need to respect the rule of law and appeals for calm.” spokesperson to Secretary-General, Martin Nesirky, said.
