Plane with 43 people on board crashes in Afghanistan
An Afghan passenger plane, carrying 43 people on board, among them foreigners, crashed in the mountains of northern Afghanistan in bad weather on Monday, officials said.
There were not immediate reports on whether there were any survivors.
The government said the aircraft lost radio contact about 30 kilometres from Kabul. There were 38 passengers and five crew, said Interior Ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary. Six passengers were foreigners. And there were three women among passengers.
The plane was due to arrive in the capital, Kabul, at 8.30 a.m. local time from the northern province of Kunduz.
