Turkey, Brazil reached a nuclear agreement with Iran
Officials from Brazilian and Turkish government said Sunday that their leaders had brokered a tentative compromise with Iran in the international standoff over Iranian nuclear program.
A spokesman to the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that the 17-hour talks, which were held in Tehran between ministers from Brazil, Iran and Turkey, resulted in an agreement on the “principles” to revive a stalled nuclear fuel-swap deal backed by the UN.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said: “The agreement has been reached after almost 18 hours of negotiations."
The final statement is expected to be made on Monday.
