Dmitry Medvedev on official visit to Ukraine
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is starting his official visit to Ukraine to participate in the third session of the Russia-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission, which session is expected to be followed by signing of a package of agreements.
“This is a package of agreements, which are still under negotiation and coordination,” Medvedev told the Ukrainian media. “The agreements are aiming at the cooperation in manufacturing, energy, sharing in the humanitarian sphere; they are related to the regional issues and international problems.”
According to Dmitry Medvedev among other highlights are agreements on the Black Sea Security challenges, issue of the European security, and the settlement to the Transnistrian issue.
“These agreements are at the final stage; and I hope we will come to concrete agreements by my visit to Ukraine,” said Medvedev.
