Putin, Erdogan discuss Iranian nuclear program on the phone
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan has telephoned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss international issues, including the Iranian nuclear program and the running economical relations between the two countries, Russian media reported citing the Press Office of the Kremlin.
On May 17 Iran has agreed to swap 1,200 kg of its low-enriched uranium for higher-enriched nuclear fuel to be used in a medical research reactor. The deal was reached during talks between Brazilian President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran. The exchange will take place in Turkey.
