Upper Lars opened for the passage of heavy vehicles
After talks with the Georgian side, the Upper Lars checkpoint, which comes as a major connecting road for cargo transportations between Armenia and Russia, has been opened for passage of the heavy vehicles, a spokesperson for the Armenian Minister of Transport said.
Due to climatic conditions, the passage of the heavy vehicles through the Upper Lars Checkpoint was suspended and was permitted for U30-passenger buses and U10-ton holding capacity cars only.
The checkpoint works from 6 am to 10 pm within the period from March 1 to November 1, and from 7 am to 7 pm within the period from November 1 to March 1.
