Georgian oppositionist pelted with eggs; he laughs in response
Tuesday morning unknown persons threw eggs into leader of the oppositional Popular Party of Georgia, Coba Davitashvili.
According to Georgia-News agency, Davitashvili had to abandon a meeting with voters, but he showed a nice sense of humor. Coba Davitashvili was laughing at the incident and told journalists that he “doesn’t fear of eggs” and that “the egg-heads can’t browbeat him.”
Coba Davitashvili is a candidate for chairman of the local government. The local elections and voting for Tbilisi’s mayor will be held on May 30. There are 9 candidates for mayor of the Georgian capital. Three election blocs and 14 parties go to the people.
