Russian rescue plane to fly to Turkey
Under the instruction of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev a rescue team, including doctors and psychologists, will fly from Russia to Turkey to conduct rescue operations in southern Turkey, where 16 Russian passengers were killed and 25 injured in the bus crash earlier.
A spokeswoman to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Irina Andrianova said that the plane will fly out from Moscow at 3 pm local time. There will be 5 medical units on board for transportation of the victims who are in the serious condition, Interfax quoted her as saying.
A driver fell asleep and the bus with Russian passengers on board crushed down the bridge into Aksa River. The accident happened around 5 a.m. local time.
