Relatives of victims of clashes hold a rally in Bishkek
Relatives of the victims of the Kyrgyz clashes gathered Wednesday in front of the Parliament in Bishkek, Russian media reported citing 24.kg agency.
The protesters claimed that interim leader Roza Otunbayeva spoke to them and told about measures to arrest the ousted president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, his relatives and supporters.
The mass clashes started in Kyrgyzstan in April 6, causing deadly waves of protests between oppositionists and followers of Kurmanbek Bakiyev. More than 80 people were killed in clashes with the government troops, more than 1,500 were injured. Ousted president Bakiyev run away from the country, while the interim Kyrgyz government ordered to arrest Bakiyev’s relatives who had had seats at the government.
