Israel bans flights to Turkey
Israel has suspended flights to Turkey, which is the most popular budget holiday destination, following the rising tensions between the two countries after Israeli attack on an international aid flotilla to blockaded Gaza.
The ban came all in a sudden, affecting one of the most popular destinations. Yossi Fatael, managing director of the Association of Israeli Travel Agents, said that the Turkey was the key direction of the Israeli travel market. However, this status appears to have been lost to someone else, he added. “The embargo will last three weeks,” he told the Media Line edition.
