124,7 thousand tons of cargo brought in Armenia in May by rail
According to report by the department of the analysis and statistics of the South Caucasus Railway on the value of cargoes coming in and out of Armenia, there were brought in – 124,7 thousand tons, and brought out - 28,2 thousand tons of cargo. This indication comes for the reported period covering May of 2010.
The home transportation throughout Armenia reached 104,7 thousand tons, showing excess between plan and fact by 14,8%.
For the same period there were registered 73,000 passengers, of these 72,000 for routes between capital and suburbs. The international transportation showed decline; however, there is a 17% growth of the passenger flow, a spokesperson to the company said.
