Bashar al-Assad: We will stay friends and allies with Iran
Syria is ready to build up business relations with the United States meanwhile staying ally with Iran, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad reported to BBC.
According to the Syrian President, he is not going to answer to the United States for the allied relations with Iran.
“We are ready to build up business relations, common business with the U.S. but we will stay friends and allies with Iran,” he said.
The Syrian President also refuted the information that his country supplies arms to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Speaking of “peace flotilla” incident Assad declared that the incident increased probability of war in the Middle East.
“The incident reduced to nothing all possibilities for peaceful process in the near future,” Bashar al-Assad said noting that his country did its utmost to prevent a conflict in the region.
